How To Trust Yourself. Because You Know More Than You Think You Do.

Trust…It is more than a word that is printed on a dollar bill. It is what determines the kind of life that we want for ourselves and makes us responsible for ourselves. No one can make decisions for you or tell you what do. Trusting yourself is a process that you discover as you grow through life. When you finally reach that realization that you are the only one that you can trust and count on, you will discover something else that is amazing. You will find that you can start trusting and counting on other people.

Without trusting ourselves, it will be difficult to decide if what we want is really the thing we want. What do I want? Well, who else is going to answer that question if you do not trust in yourself? Who are you going to ask? So far, to my knowledge, there is no magic crystal ball out there that can answer that question for you. Only you should be the one to answer that question. Start building that trust in the following three ways:

First, one of the ways you can build self trust is by trusting your feelings and hunches. Then you have to observe the effects and results of your decision. Trust your intuition in life. This is similar to guessing on your exams in school when you didn’t know the answer. You then took a look at the results of your guesses to see how you did.  Analyzing the cause and effect of your actions helps to build confidence in your own trust guidance system.

Second, take a look back into your past life experiences and analyze the reasons why certain events in your life didn’t go your way. At what point did you begin to realize that something was wrong? What did you do to fix the problem? Did you ignore all the warning signs? Maybe things didn’t feel right from the beginning? If you failed a class in your younger days, what was causing that situation? Was it a yearning for a relationship? Not being able to have freedom from your parents? Not having your own car? You weren’t accepted by the popular crowd?

Finally, listen to what your body is saying to you. Any kind of stress can cause your body to display illnesses. Be more aware of what is going on in your body. Body illnesses tell you that you have anger, guilt or resentment built up. People come up with all kinds of excuses to for why their life is the way it is. They do this to avoid facing the truth and dealing with the situation. In reality, the reason their life is the way it is, is because they created it that way.

Follow these tips and you will be on your way to building confidence in trusting yourself.
