Learning To Be An Optimist.

Is it possible to learn to be an optimist? That answer is a definite yes. You have to train yourself into positive thinking. If psychologists can prove through experiments that self-defeating behavior can be learned, then we can do the opposite and learn to be an optimist. As they say, the proof is in the pudding. (more…)

Drop Them Cold: The Dating Experiment

I’m sure many of you out there have heard of this dating technique called ”drop them cold.” The technique plays on the psychological principal that the uncaring date will turn their attitude around when they realize that they are about to lose someone that they have taken for granted.

You’ve seen it time and time again in those chick flicks. The guy gives all his heart for the majority of the movie to some girl that takes him for granted. Then, the guy leaves for good and that’s when the girl realizes that she made a mistake and comes running back. This happened to one of my friends in real life. (more…)
