I particularly appreciate your mention in this post that it doesn't matter how small an act of service is, it will bring increased balance and meaning to our lives. How absolutely true. I could tell my wife was pretty tired this am, hadn't slept well. It was a no brainer to do up some dishes and also just be a bit calm, provide a bit of calm rather than trying to chat her up brightly. I think what you say applies to all our lives. Watching a robin come to the birdbath this morning and then pluck some grass after to build a nest was a moment of happiness out of all proportion to the simplicity of the moment: but that's the magic of real living, right?
